During the Triodion celebrations, the custom of Geros (“Old Man”) and Corella is practiced. The "Old Man" wears a hairy black cap, a mask made of goatskin and a belt with pastoral bells attached to it and is escorted by “Korella”, a young man dressed in traditional female apparel, and “Frangos”, a man wearing a mask and a bell around his waist. The second part of the Skyrian Carnival is known as Trata and includes the recital of satirical lyrics.
