We are situated at Linariá, Skyros’s beautiful harbor, which stands out for its cleanliness as well as for its organization and picturesqueness. Our rooms are built beneath the church of Agios Nikolaos, on the hill, in an amphitheatrical way, offering a panoramic view and avoiding the harbor’s summer traffic.
One should not miss out on the sunset, which rarely goes unnoticed from our hotel’s verandas that overlook the Aegean Sea, making the view even prettier.
From the hotel’s balconies, one can enjoy the combination of sky and sea, pretty fishing boats with anglers and gulls following them, as well as the boat of Skyros docking at the heart of the harbor under the tune of the classic ‘Zarathustra’ by Strauss, which can be heard as a welcome tune from Kavos (a cafeteria on the Linaria rock).
Each apartment has its own balcony.
Our restaurant "Ivilái" is located next to the hotel (2-minute walk), right on the harbor and 6 meters from the sea. This is the oldest restaurant-fish tavern of the harbor as it has been continuously operated by our family for four generations with love and attention to good food and service always being our top priority.
The spaghetti & lobster dish is the restaurant’s speciality, having kept the recipe unchanged over the years, a recipe inspired by the fishermen who enjoyed it in their fishing boats.
In recent years, Linariá has managed to attain distinction through important prizes and stand out for its innovative ideas, facilities and organization. While other large and well-known Greek harbors have yet to be exploited in such a way, the distinctions of Linaria acquire an even greater significance considering the fact that it is a small harbor with very few inhabitants.
Its development has made tourist visits much easier and enjoyable. It is a peaceful location of Skyros and is ideal for those seeking tranquility and relaxation.
